A recent Bloomberg Business report featured an update on the ongoing air conditioner wars (cold lovers versus I'm freezing types) and reminds us that indoor air temperature is the biggest problem in office buildings. The report pointed to a study by the International Facility Management Association that maintains air temperature – including being too hot or too cold – is the most often cited reason for employee dissatisfaction and in some cases staff departure! Ninety-one percent survey respondents reported that a building being too cold and ninety-four percent reported a building being too hot were top grievances. Keeping drafts at bay and internal temps consistent is one of our primary missions and our passion. Ask about how we can lower energy costs by monitoring the doorways that lead to drafts and wrong-air incursions.
